Dissolute Haiku: Cheers!

Drunk on sun and wind
I stagger off the beach and
Head to The Sand Bar

Embellishment for Haiku

sliver of silver
moon held by apricot  clouds
mid-summer twilight

glide by
crow flies
homeward

from a cobalt sky
seagulls skate the wind and
glide into the sun

Storm at the Beach

The wind sweeps the beach

Pushing seagulls off their paths

And tourists homeward

Gusts surge and explode

Attacking windows and doors

Shrieking, “Let me in!”

Furious tempest

Drives the winter rain sideways

Cold settles in bones
